In night twenty of the 1001 Nights Podcast, we conclude chapter three: “The Story of the Porter and the Ladies of Baghdad,” which was retold by Marisa Dobson. “The Story of the Second of the Three Ladies of Baghdad,” by Claire Kiechel is the last tale of this chapter. It is a heartbreaking story about the love, loss, struggle and independence of one woman. We also hear the final moments in the elegant Baltimore home and the fate of Cole the Porter, who we first met so many nights ago at the market.
